Using a cell phone as a hands-free Bluetooth phone and the RAZR?
I recently switched cell phone service in Cingular to Verizon, and therefore had to change phones. I had the Nokia E62 (Cingular), and now have the RAZR (Verizon). Prefer not to try to transfer the entire my contacts, calendar, and information to the new phone. Since both have Bluetooth, does anyone have any idea if I can use the E62 as a hands-free and RAZR on the phone? In other words, was using the RAZR as a phone and phone service, but was using the E62 as the headset-and-mic "and with all contacts, etc. It's a shame to retire the E62 (which I loved to use), but my company decided to change providers, Verizon and unfortunately is not compatible with the E62 is a GSM phone. Sorry, but your idea will not work. The cell phone acts as a Bluetooth host, not as a client, which is what the headset is. E62 Is a Motorola phone? You can try to bring both the Verizon store and see if you can transfer all the contacts from one to another using its programming tools. Otherwise, are utilities desktop synchronization allows you to save your phone contacts to a file, then you can sync your phone again.
